This is the third edition of the invaluable reference book Royal Doulton Figurines, first published in 1978. It is the bible for an ever-growing number of collectors world-wide.

The second edition is now out-of-print. The new 3rd Edition has been redesigned and incorporates 600 additional illustrations which have been integrated into the text. It lists all of the figures made at Burslem between 1913 and 1994 and gives details of the designers, colourways, sizes, dates of introduction and withdrawal, and any other information relevant to their manufacture and naming.
Each figure is illustrated, often in many different colourways and source material is features where relevant making a total of over 1450 colour plates and 150 black & white illustrations. Details of marks and artists have been bought up-to-date, sets and series have been listed and a revised index of figures names has been compiled.

The new edition has been upgraded and includes the additional illustrations of pre-war colourways and most the undiscovered early models, except for six which continue to remain elusive; these are HN 38 Carpet Vendor (long carpet), HN 311 Dancing Figure, HN 369 Cavalier, HN 374 Lady and Blackamoor, HN 596 Despair and HN 1316 Toys.
