MyMart™

Creating listings in bulk

If you are an established online seller you may want to export your existing listings from eBay, Tazbar or another site. Send a CSV file containing all the details to theteam@mymart.com and we’ll do the rest.

Creating files

You can create your own CSV files from scratch or using tools such as eBay Turbo Lister.

To create a new file of your listings, you can use a spreadsheet application such as Microsoft Excel or Google Docs and Spreadsheets. The file should contain the following columns:

  • Title
  • Description
  • Condition (one of new, used, worn or broken)
  • Minimum price
  • Buy it now price (optional)
  • Postage (to anywhere in the UK)
  • Category

You also need to send us a picture or video for each item. These need to be named in some way that allows us to link the pictures to the details in the CSV file. For example, you might number each item in the spreadsheet, 1 to 100, and send files named 1.jpg, 2.jpg, 3.3gp, etc.

Exporting from eBay

You can use the eBay Turbo Lister to export items already listed on eBay:

  1. Install the eBay Turbo Lister application and connect to your account (if not done already).
  2. In Turbo Lister, select all the items that you want to send to MyMart™.
  3. Go to File > Export Selected Items.
  4. Make sure the select file format is “Turbo Lister Format (CSV file).”
  5. Click export and select a location for the file.
  6. Send the file to the MyMart™ team and we’ll do the rest!

About you

If you send us information about many listings, be sure to include your username, so we know who to assign the listings to! If you have not yet registered, please visit our registration page or text “reg” to 60067.

Pictures

Pictures can be any size, we will resize them to 400 × 300 automatically for online use and 120 × 90 for mobile use and for thumbnails. Pictures should be in JPEG, GIF or PNG format.

Video

Video files are also sent to both online and mobile users. They should be a relatively small file size, 100 KB is a sensible maximum. Few phone screens are larger than 100 pixels wide, so the video picture should not be wider than that. Often the best way to create video for mobiles is to use a mobile phone.

Videos should ideally be 3GPP format, the standard for mobile video. Quicktime and other video tools can create and play this format. We also accept MPEG files, which many mobile phones support as well.
